The Sheba Ensemble will be featured again in a spirited winter concert for Hanukkah at Ot Olam Synagogue Dec 9th at 8:00pm.
The winter concert will feature a repertoire of new and traditional melodies. It is highlighted by debut performances of several original compositions by members of Sheba and other prominent composers. Compositions in Ladino, Hebrew, Yiddish and English are included in the program.
The Sheba Ensemble, a renown quintet of classically trained musicians, is committed to Jewish music with a contemporary feminine flair. Sheba's music reflects a unique intersection of the styles that influence Jewish music. From classical Jewish repertoire to Bossa Nova, Pop to rock, Jazz to Broadway, traditional and modern Israeli, Sheba presents a special musical experience performing across the United States and Europe.
